When the winter sets in I encourage warm head gear but no gloves I’m afraid. Don’t forget gum shields. Remember no match shirts for practice sessions.

Mid week training takes place on Wednesday evening. Players should be present at 6.30pm for a very prompt 6.45pm start. Sessions will end at approx 8.15pm.

Every Sunday.
There is more to Stockport RUFC than what goes on the pitch whether it be a practice or match day. To this end I expect that players will do what is necessary to make them presentable after practice/matches and then for them spend time together upstairs in the club house for a snack and/or drink. We must not have an football type ethos which sees players leave the pitch and jump straight into cars. Before we do go upstairs then ALL players will be expected to shower before they get changed. There will be times when duty calls me away to my Senior Colts duties but I will hear if this is not adhered to!

Match Days.
I expect the team should to be smartly dress approach to match days: The current dress code is :

1) Red/Black Polo Shirt,
2) Track Top or Team Coat depending on weather
2) Black/dark trousers,
3) Black shoes.

This is to be worn to and from all matches. Home and Away. On practice Sundays it is acceptable to come changed in your kit but players should bring a change of clothes for the club house afterwards.
