Stockport U11's finally went from bridesmaids to brides as they clinched the Cheshire Cup with a thrilling 3-1 victory over Wilmslow in the final at Winnington Park RUFC.
Initially placed into the group stage with Northwich, Sale and Sandbach Saxons the Stockport team recorded 3 straight victories to see them take a seeded slot in the main Cup competition. Despite a nervous victory over Wirral, Stockport also beat Bowdon and the much vaunted Chester team to finish top of the seeded pool and earn the right to face off against Wilmslow in the final.
Tries from full back Arthur Carrol and 2 from captain Daniel Robinson saw the boys bring home the trophy in a final that exhibited all that is good about Cheshire U11's rugby.
