Stockport travelled to Huddersfield for a meeting with the unbeaten leaders of the Division. As usual the Stockport players, with several of the first choice team missing through injury, played a full game of committed rugby. The stand in players all played their part in what was an 80 minute defensive effort.
This was always going to be a difficult game but the Stockport defence was resolute for the first 20 minutes, preventing Huddersfield from scoring despite real pressure. The effort of that 20 minutes and the superiority of the Huddersfield players was too much for the defence to hold out and Huddersfield scored 6 tries before half time and another 7 in the second half, these tries together with 9 conversions gave the home side an 83-0 victory.
There is no fixture next week and so the next game is a home fixture against Wirral/
