Tobin is fine and back home again.

Tobin Rose, our U13 player is currently fine after being injured this morning (but just a bit miffed that he didn’t get to ride in the helicopter.)

He was assessed by one of our parents, Bev Swift, a nurse. The decision was made to call for an ambulance. The Northwest Air Ambulance was apparently airborne over Bolton, and headed for the club, landing on the 1st XV pitch.

Tobin was quickly assessed at the club by the Northwest Air Ambulance team. Then, as a precaution, he was taken by road to Stepping Hill A&E for further tests. (It's good to know that there is an option to fly direct, in minutes, to specialist units across the Northwest if required).

We would like to say a massive thank you to the U6 coach who got to him straight away, and made sure that he kept still and waited with him until the paramedics arrived. We would also like to thank everyone else who helped out, including our pitch side physio Steve, Bec, a Stockport parent physio, and one of our U13 parents Bev Swift for their medical expertise. Also one of the Rose's family friends who is a doctor.

We have kept in touch with Tobin's mum and dad, and are pleased to report that he's back home again now.

If you have any concerns after any injury at the club, we have a physio in attendance on match days, and a number of experienced medical professionals amongst the parents. Don't hesitate to get assistance.

The NW Air Ambulance is a charity that entirely relies on donations so please follow the link below if you would like to support them in their invaluable work.
