DID YOU KNOW..................that
Stockport
RUFC is one of the only clubs in the whole of the North
West of England that runs a ‘Special’ Tag Rugby Squad for
youngsters with severe learning difficulties and/or mobility
problems?
No physical contact is involved and our aim is to have fun whilst improving fitness levels and social interaction skills. We also provide networking opportunities for carers. Ages of our squad members range from 9 to 29 years. Brothers, sisters and friends are all welcome in the squad. We enjoy being an integral part of a mainstream sporting environment whilst offering support when needed. Below is a short film showing our appearance on the pitch at Edgeley Park at Half Time during the Sale Sharks v Leicester game in December 2007
